Since 2011, GoSTEM has worked alongside partner schools to broaden access to STEM learning experiences and career pathways for underserved students and their communities.
K-12 STEM Programs
GoSTEM is centered around our signature educational programs, including multiple STEM clubs housed at partner schools, summer camps, and annual STEM Fairs held on campus in the fall and spring semesters. Beyond these recurring events, our team provides direct outreach through STEM workshops, career presentations, faculty collaborations, family speaker series, committee work, and more.

GoSTEM College & STEM Fair
Serving as GoSTEM’s biggest event of the year, more than ten partner schools bring hundreds of students to Georgia Tech each Fall for the Annual GoSTEM College & STEM Fair.
Alongside a rotation of informational workshops, participants enjoy raffles, lunch, photobooths, and take-home resources.
Presenters at the GCSF come from across the educational, professional, and community spectrum, bringing exciting new lineups to GoSTEM students each year.
STEM It Up Day
STEM It Up is focused, high school-oriented networking event that engages students to learn directly about Georgia Tech majors and academic opportunities directly from current undergraduates.
Prioritizing mentorship and communication between undergraduates and high school juniors and seniors, this day offers a more intentional approach to the prep work GoSTEM does to broaden post-secondary opportunities.
Fun Summer of Service
Innovative summer programs like Fun Summer of Service are central to GoSTEM’s mission of expanding access throughout the year.
Students selected to participate in this camp join GoSTEM for a week of college campus visits, community service projects, career preparedness sessions, and fun field trips, building their resume as well as confidence in their post-secondary options.

The GoSTEM Club
GoSTEM’s long-running partnership with Lilburn Middle School involves participation in outreach events, collaborations on school leadership councils, and most notably, an after-school program known as The GoSTEM Club.
This weekly gathering, largely run by Georgia Tech graduate student volunteers, introduces LMS students to new STEM disciplines and career pathways.

GT Collaborations
Additionally, GoSTEM serves as a valuable resource to the Georgia Tech community. Our team is a major campus partner providing students, faculty, and campus organizations with impactful volunteering opportunities, real-world skill development, and support for grant proposals and research projects.

Faculty Partnerships
GoSTEM works directly with Georgia Tech faculty and student organizations on collaborative programming. Examples include a Saturday circuitry workshop series and a biannual physics masterclass.
REMEZCLA
The Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras received a $2.9 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program.
SHPE Partnership
GoSTEM has maintained a long-term collaboration with the Georgia Tech chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, a large student organization on campus supporting cross-cultural networking and community outreach.
